City Council Election - 45th District, Brooklyn

This is probably overlooked on this Election Day, but there is an actual election in this Council district.

While I have said that the race was essentially decided during the primaries in September, there is at least one cause worth voicing on this page. Although Erlene King (Rent is Too Damn High) lacks anything worth voting for in this election, there is one strong reason to cast the ballot for anyone but her: the anti-Semitism that is part of the Rent is Too Damn High's platform.

Thankfully, The Politicker and Stay Free! Daily pointed out this part of the party platform. Anyone can see this disgusting bit on the Rent is Too Damn High's website. Normally, something like this is not even worth drawing attention, but because these people are actually running a candidate in this district, and presumably, in other elections also, this needs to be out in the public view with at least 8 hours to go until the polls close.

Hopefully this might dissuade anyone that might even think about casting a vote for this person to take away a vote from Kendall Stewart. This platform discriminates against people living within its own district in the 45th, as parts of it have a fairly high number of Jewish residents. Is this going to be the standard fare from this "party"? I would hope they would reform themselves but that appears unlikely from such a fringe group.

Instead of Stewart or King, vote for Salvatore Grupico instead.
